Touch Tone Membership Renewal

The Touch-Tone Membership Renewal System allows existing members to renew their memberships via touch-tone telephone using their bankcard for payment, 24 hours, 7 days a week. The Touch-Tone Membership Renewal System interfaces with the AEK Membership Management System and uses the AEK Touch-Tone Control module.


Features

In preparation for using the system, the user has the ability to include general information in brochures, flyers, and other publicity to inform and instruct customers in the use of the system. The customer must be an existing member with a Universal Card number and have a credit card ready to renew by Touch-Tone telephone. The user may also opt to mail renewal notices to the customer with Touch-Tone renewal options printed on the notice.

To use the system, the member dials a designated number from a touch-tone telephone or a rotary phone with an adapter, and listening to a series of pre-recorded instructions, is able to renew one or more existing memberships based upon the member’s AEK Universal Card number.

Optional pre-recorded messages may be user-defined such as directions to facilities, contact phone numbers of each facility, hours of operation, and more. The user may make changes to the pre-recorded messages. A telephone hot key may be defined to allow the customer to leave the Touch-Tone System for transfer to a clerk or to leave a voice-mail message for a return call at first availability.

Once per day, payment processing is handled by running the normal Membership Management Daily Transaction Report in conjunction with AEK Bankcard Validation for clearing charge payments. As a result of using the Touch-Tone Membership Renewal, customers do all the work and no user clerical payment entry processing is required.

Upcoming membership renewals and problems with renewals attempted may be notified to members via out-call notification by the Touch-Tone module. Each member will be called within a specified time frame and upon connection a user-recorded message is read. The listener may confirm receipt of the message by pressing a designated touch-tone key. The system will report no answers, answers with no confirmation, and confirmed calls.

Complete statistics and reports are provided by the Membership System, as well as special Touch-Tone module reports, including: renewal attempts, frequency of success/failure/aborted attempts, and more.
