The AEK Global Database and Security system components are the Definitions, Utilities and system Security. All system wide code files are entered in Definitions. Utilities allows you to customize which features you have active throughout the entire system, as well as other system administrative routines. The Security system allows the system administrator to allow or prevent operators from accessing data.
The AEK Global Database System utilizes one database of names and addresses. This database is address driven which allows participants with different last names to be entered at the same address and display with this address when chosen. This provides a consistent set of street names, city names, addresses and individuals that may be accessed and entered in all applications.
Ability to define geographic locations for addresses which allows you to determine where participants reside that are participating in classes, purchasing memberships, renting facilities etc. The geographic coding is entered one time and can be changed for redistricting at any time.
The Individual Activity option allows the user to see all activity for any one given person or family or address. This selection will display if a person (or family) participates in classes, purchases memberships, rents facilities, coaches a league, officials a league or participates in a league, all on one screen.
The Security System coordinates and regulates computer system activity. It initiates system access in an organized fashion, secures systems and programs from unauthorized use and records all system activity for printing and display.
Each operator is assigned one of 6 levels of security for each application ranging from total access to no access. Security is assigned by application, so that one operator may have total access to Memberships, but only have display access for Registration. Once logged in, the system recognizes who you are and allows the user access to the applications as defined by the system administrator.
The Global and Security System is required to use any other AEK application system.
